INNOVATING AND SPECULATING FOR THE FUTURE -POWER OF PEDAGOGYOND EMPATHY

We use a unique approach that combines speculative methods, creativity and emergent strategies to invite unexplored possibilities into direct teaching practice. Inquiry, knowledge and dialogue and expanded pedagogy are used in an effort Coto decolonize educational policy and practice. Participants will come away with a new understanding of how to apply pedagogy to today's education needs.

This project addresses the need for new methodologies in anti-racism education. It is based on research by Dr. Trudi L. Perkins, highlighting the challenges of addressing anti-Black racism in educational spaces. The project aims to bridge the gap between academic and corporate leadership roles and incorporate antiracism education into organizational strategic plans. The project involves a multi-phased journey that builds skills for participants to treat their racial growth process as informal research. It also tests a theoretical approach that promotes continual engagement with the discourse of race and racism in society.
